Untitled #4

Hey Everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Today is the next addition to my make-up routine. After I’ve put on my face I start with eyeshadow primer. I really like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Portion in Original, its lightweight and doesn’t crease. It’s great on its own and gives you an even natural look for days you don’t want to wear shadow. If you’re ever in a hurry these are amazing and will change your life.

Then it’s shadow time. I start with highlighting under my brow. You want to find one that works well with your skin tone. With my skin tone I usually go with a gold based highlighter. I also recommend a highlighter with no or minimal shimmer. It will help keep you young and fresh looking.

My favorite combination is M.A.C Jest for the crease of my eye and then M.A.C Shale.  Jest is the perfect blend of pink and orange which makes my blue/green eyes pop. Then I use M.A.C Shale which is a dusty purple. I like it because you can go from day to night with this color.

My second go-to combination is M.A.C Naked Lunch for the crease of my eye followed by M.A.C Mulch.

M.A.C shadows are more expensive than drugstore shadow’s but I’ve never had a drugstore shadow last for 2 years. I’ve also dropped several M.A.C shadows on the ground and they haven’t broken which is another plus!

For liquid liner I like M.A.C fluidline or Revlon colorstay. Both are great for a clean cateye or smokey/smudge look. When it comes to pencils M.A.C Pro Longwear eyeliner in Rich Experience or Strong Willed are my favorite.

When it comes to my lashes I wear false lashes. My natural lashes are really blonde which requires a lot of mascara which ends up flaking or clumping. Katie with Glam Your Lashes is amazing. We’ve played with different lengths and I typically go with a 11/12 blend to keep them looking more natural. I love her lashes and how weightless they are. They also save me so much time. For my lower lashes I like Benefit They’re real to match color and thickness of false lashes.

When I want to play up my lips I go with thisthis color is perfect for fall, this one is my summertime go-to and this red is perfect for my skin tone and has a great undertone to avoid yellow teeth.

For days when I don’t want to worry about having perfect lipstick or touch-up this is my everyday color. It’s the perfect natural looking lipstick. My sister bought it around the same time and we had no idea until one day she was cleaning out her purse and I noticed she had the same one! She has more of a porcelain/fair complexion and it looks great on her! It’s a color that works on everyone.

If you’re more of a gloss girl this has a great feel and lots of different colors, this one lasts all day and this one is great to test out different colors because its so inexpensive.

Keep in mind you should only enhance your eyes or your lips. A smokey eye and red lip is too much all at once. You want to draw attention to one or the other. Hope this helps and gives you some ideas on switching up your look or implementing a different everyday look.

Have a great day!
